The original masterpiece
Experience the original Dracula exactly as Bram Stoker wrote it...
Jonathan Harker's fiancée, an assistant teacher, and a close friend of Lucy Westenra. Her name is a diminutive of Wilhelmina, though she is almost always called by her nickname. She has been friends with Lucy since childhood and is described as a great beauty. When news arrives that Jonathan is recovering from meningitis in Budapest after going missing, she leaves Lucy to join him. They marry, and she becomes known as Mrs. Mina Harker. After being bitten by Dracula in London and forced to drink his blood, she faces the fate of becoming a vampire. However, she does not despair; instead, she uses her wit to suggest tracking Dracula through the psychic connection formed between them. Her wisdom contributes greatly to the hunt. Later, she gives birth to a son, naming him Quincey Harker after he was born on the anniversary of Quincey Morris's death.
An English solicitor who travels to Transylvania after being commissioned by Count Dracula, an Eastern European nobleman, to purchase a manor in London. There, he witnesses bizarre phenomena and realizes the Count is a vampire. Imprisoned in the castle and stripped of his travel documents, he is forced to write fake letters home. Realizing the Count has no intention of letting him live, Jonathan escapes and goes missing for a time. He regains his resolve after Dr. Van Helsing confirms his experiences were real and joins the hunt for Dracula. In the final battle, he radiates such overwhelming intimidation that the gypsies flee at the sight of the sharpened kukri in his hand. He throws Dracula's coffin to the ground and beheads the Count with his kukri just before sunset.
He introduces himself as a Szekely count living in Transylvania. When Jonathan Harker first meets him, he is described as clean-shaven except for a heavy mustache, with curly hair, thick eyebrows, a tall and thin frame, red eyes, bat-like ears, protruding fangs, and long, sharp nails. His palms are hairy, and he emits a sickening, foul odor. Initially appearing as a white-haired old man, his hair turns black by the time he departs for London. His personality is outwardly polite but inwardly sinister, turning violent when things do not go his way. He claims to feel love only impulsively and holds highly aggressive values. He attempts to deceive Van Helsing's group by fleeing by sea to a different port than the one he arrived at, but he ultimately meets his end when Mina allows Van Helsing to hypnotize her to track his movements.
One of the three men who proposed to Lucy Westenra. Though heartbroken when Lucy chooses Arthur Holmwood, he remains devoted to her, introducing Abraham Van Helsing and even donating blood when she falls ill due to Dracula's feeding. According to Jonathan's note seven years after Dracula's death, he is happily married to another wonderful woman. Lucy describes him as a 29-year-old, handsome, wealthy asylum director from a good family. She adds that he is strong-willed, quiet, and very calm, though he can be somewhat clumsy. Arthur Holmwood, Quincey Morris, and John Seward were best friends long before they met Lucy.
A hunter and adventurer from Texas, USA. He has traveled as far as Joseon, where he met John Seward and Arthur Holmwood. Despite his youth and seemingly naive demeanor, he has traveled and adventured extensively. When close with someone, he speaks in American slang and tells humorous stories. He is described as highly educated and well-mannered.
Presumed to be the daughter of a newly wealthy family in late 19th-century Victorian England. She is Mina Murray's friend and a beautiful woman with a bright personality. She is courted simultaneously by Dr. Seward, Quincey Morris, and Arthur Holmwood, ultimately accepting Arthur's proposal. While vacationing in the resort town of Whitby with her lifelong friend Mina, she is targeted and fed upon by Count Dracula. True to her kind nature, she tries not to worry those around her. After her death, she is resurrected as a corrupted vampire. She attempts to lure and feed on Arthur but is repelled by Van Helsing. She flees to her coffin, where she is finally put to rest; her fiancé, Arthur Holmwood, takes on the task of driving the stake through her heart.
More commonly referred to as Professor Van Helsing. He is the original vampire hunter. A doctor of medicine and theology, he holds five doctoral degrees, though he is a physician by trade. Van Helsing is not merely driven by the goal of destroying vampires; he is a figure who embodies compassion for victims and the courage to stand against evil.
Within, stood a tall old man, clean-shaven save for a long white moustache, and clad in black from head to foot, without a single speck of colour about him anywhere. He held in his hand an antique silver lamp, in which the flame burned without chimney or globe of any kind, throwing long, quivering shadows as it flickered in the draught of the open door...
I had now an opportunity of observing him, and found him of a very marked physiognomy. His face was a strong—a very strong—aquiline, with high bridge of the thin nose and peculiarly arched nostrils; with lofty domed forehead, and hair growing scantily round the temples but profusely elsewhere. His eyebrows were very massive, almost meeting over the nose, and with bushy hair that seemed to curl in its own profusion. The mouth, so far as I could see it under the heavy moustache, was fixed and rather cruel-looking, with peculiarly sharp white teeth; these protruded over the lips, whose remarkable ruddiness showed astonishing vitality in a man of his years. For the rest, his ears were pale, and at the tops extremely pointed; the chin was broad and strong, and the cheeks firm though thin. The general effect was one of extraordinary pallor. Hitherto I had noticed the backs of his hands as they lay on his knees in the firelight, and they had seemed rather white and fine; but seeing them now close at hand, I could not but notice that they were rather coarse—broad, with squat fingers. Strange to say, there were hairs in the centre of the palms. The nails were long and fine, and cut to a sharp point. As the Count leaned over me and his hands touched me, I could not repress a shudder. It may have been that his breath was rank, but a horrible feeling of nausea came over me.....
