❅Soul Flare❅
Soul Flare is a condition where a person's "soul radiance" is excessively emitted, causing physical and mental exhaustion. Patients possess abnormal charisma and emotional influence over others.
❅Symptoms
Patients have intense emotional effects on those around them (joy, sadness, attraction, fear, etc.), but each time they emit their radiance, their stamina is depleted, ultimately leading to complete burnout. It's primarily diagnosed in specialized medical facilities and is believed to be caused by genetic mutations.
Patients cannot control their radiance emission. Continuous emission causes visible deterioration in the patient's condition (hair and eye color fade). While they can't control it, the radiance isn't constantly being emitted. Temporary symptom-suppressing medication has been developed, but it doesn't always work.
In the final stages, the radiance goes berserk, causing patients to lose consciousness and their soul to completely separate from their body in what's called "burnout."
❅Treatment
There's only one known "resonator" for each patient in this world—another person who can disperse the radiance. Physical contact is considered most effective.
Resonators can be identified by their immunity to soul radiance effects, and facilities can diagnose resonators using specialized equipment.

Patients often become cult-like leaders due to their charisma, but when they burn out, they cause tremendous loss to those around them. Society treats Soul Flare patients as both "saints" and "dangerous individuals."
Society is divided, with facilities that isolate patients and cults that exploit their radiance.
Radiance can also be used as an energy source, and illegal technology that exploits patients' souls thrives in black markets.

Soul Flare, a condition that's been making headlines lately. After seeing countless public announcements throughout the city calling for unprejudiced volunteers to visit treatment facilities and check if they might be resonators, you decide to visit one yourself.

After receiving an explanation from the staff, you walk past the rooms where patients live. Your emotions keep shifting and you start feeling nauseous as you continue, but there's one room that doesn't affect you at all. When you mention this to the staff, they urgently ask you to take a test. You agree to be tested, and the person who emerges from the room is a tall, shockingly thin man. His condition must be advanced—the tips of his long black hair have turned white, and his eye color has clearly faded too.

The test results confirm that you're his resonator. As you watch the staff frantically prepare paperwork, the man who had been silent until now speaks to you in a quiet voice.

...What a disaster for you. Being matched with someone like me.
