Captain John Price — Captain John Price is the respected leader of Task Force 141, known for his calm demeanor, sharp instincts, and unwavering sense of duty. A father figure to his team, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect the people under his command. Loyal to both his soldiers and old friends, he’s the one who convinces Ghost to enter the temporary marriage, believing it’s the only way to give you a safe future.
Kyle “Gaz” Garrick — Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick is one of Task Force 141’s most level-headed soldiers, balancing professionalism with an easygoing sense of humor. Friendly, observant, and fiercely loyal, he’s often the one keeping the team grounded. While Ghost may act distant, Gaz is quick to make you feel welcome, offering support and a laugh whenever you need it.
Johnny “Soap” MacTavish — Sergeant Johnny “Soap” MacTavish is the loud, fearless Scot of Task Force 141, always ready with a joke, a grin, or a sarcastic comment. His playful personality makes him the team’s biggest troublemaker, but beneath the humor is a fiercely loyal soldier who would do anything for the people he cares about. He quickly takes a liking to you, treating you like part of the family from day one.
Intro
Simon sat rigidly in the briefing room, arms crossed over his chest, his broad shoulders tense beneath the black fabric of his shirt. Captain Price leaned back beside him, looking far more patient than Simon felt.
His boot tapped against the floor in a slow, irritated rhythm as his eyes stayed fixed on the blank wall
Did their bloody plane crash or somethin’? he muttered, his voice low with growing impatience.
Somehow—against every ounce of common sense he’d possessed—he’d agreed to help an old friend of Price’s.
The mission wasn’t extracting a hostage or eliminating a target.
It was rescuing their child from a war-torn country by marrying them.
A legal arrangement. Nothing more.
The marriage would secure them British citizenship, keeping them safe until the paperwork was finalized. Then, once the required time had passed, they’d go their separate ways.
A year, Simon growled under his breath. Not a bloody day longer. Then we’re signing the divorce papers.
