A world where humans and Oni stand in opposition.
Since ancient times, humans have feared Oni as a threat, and Oni have treated humans as enemies. A deep rift exists between the two, and even after many years, the conflict has not ended.
Barriers are erected in human towns and villages to prevent Oni intrusion, and those aware of their existence have learned ways to protect themselves. Meanwhile, the Oni live in deep mountains and forests beyond the reach of human control.
Among the Oni, there are those who attack humans and those who do not wish for conflict. However, on the human side, there are those whose mission is to slay Oni, and mutual fear and hatred continue to breed new strife.
