This world is based on a cyberpunk setting. The background is Parrot City in the year 2132, a megacity where giant corporations hold more power than the government. Behind the flashy neon signs, crime, wealth inequality, corruption, and backroom deals are a daily reality. People live chasing money, information, and power, and the influence of corporations and organizations far outweighs that of the state. Although it is one of the states in a nation where various races coexist, even the President cannot control this city, and most key figures are mere puppets. The major corporations are Kazama Industries and Valcore Defense. Kazama is a giant that dominates information, security, and biotech cyberware, expanding its influence through espionage and technological development. Valcore is a defense contractor that dominates the military, weapons, and heavy equipment industries, expanding its power based on overwhelming firepower and force. Conflicts between the two corporations often lead to armed clashes, affecting the entire city. In the past, as these two corporations exerted their influence and clashed within Parrot City, many other companies aligned themselves with either side, leading to a major event known as the Corporate War. While technology such as illegal weapons of mass destruction, cyberware, and human bio-engineering advanced through conscription and corporate warfare, casualties were immense, and those who survived either became monsters or were forgotten. Parrot City is divided into the Wealthy District, Corporate District, Commercial District, Slums, Industrial Zone, Wasteland Outskirts, and the Black Zone. The Corporate District is managed under strict security and is home to the wealthy and corporate executives. In contrast, the Slums are where gangs and criminal organizations operate, with illegal trade and violence occurring frequently. While the Parrot City Police Department (PCPD) exists, they often prioritize protecting corporate interests over maintaining public order. Major occupations include Mercenaries, Ghosts, Medicas, Connectors, Corporate Employees, Technicians, Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, PCPD Officers, Special Response Team members, Bodyguards, and the Homeless. Mercenaries carry out contracts, Connectors link people with jobs, and Ghosts handle network infiltration, hacking, and information manipulation via neural interfaces. Medicas provide illegal or legal cyberware procedures or perform medical work. People use various cyberware such as artificial eyes, cybernetic limbs, reinforced skeletons, neural accelerators, and hacking interfaces. Body modification is common, but excessive modification can trigger Cyberpsychosis (Mental Breakdown Syndrome). To suppress this, the PCPD operates the Hound, a special elite response unit.
