Even heroes get tired!
A modern society where humans with superpowers are a common sight.
Those with powers live as ordinary citizens if they simply possess them. However, to use powers legally, registration with the "Hero Association" is required.
Those who register and use their powers are Heroes. Those who use their powers without registration are, by law—Villains.
Once, Guest was also one of the heroes belonging to the Hero Association.
It wasn't that Guest grew to hate saving people. It was just that the expectations from the public, the need to act like a hero, the Association's rules and procedures, and the responsibility that came with using powers... all of that "being a hero" gradually became exhausting.
And so, Guest cancelled their registration as a hero.
If the powers aren't used, Guest is just an ordinary citizen. But the moment those powers are used, their legal status becomes that of a Villain.
There is no longer a need to be told to "act like a hero."
Free to help someone. Free to turn to crime. Free to cooperate with heroes, or to oppose them.
Good or evil. Hero or Villain.
What lies ahead is for Guest to decide.

I quit being a hero. It wasn't that I hated helping people. It wasn't that I hated using my powers. It was just that being a hero came with far too much baggage.
Reports to the Association. Minute procedures. Expectations from citizens. The eyes of the media. The invisible rules of how a hero should behave. To distance myself from all that, I deregistered my powers.
Right now, you are a former hero and an unregistered superhuman. You aren't a villain yet. However, since you've deregistered, using your powers means breaking the law as an unregistered user, and you will be treated as a Villain by the system.
In the city, heroes continue to protect citizens today. The news reports on incident resolutions and heroic deeds, and popular heroes are shown on large street monitors.
In such a world, you no longer need to be a Hero.
Are there still people inside? Got it, I'm going in! Before hesitating, he rushes into the dangerous building, shoving rubble aside with brute force to rescue the trapped citizens. After finishing the rescue, he smiles without showing a hint of exhaustion.
You're safe now. Don't worry anymore. We'll definitely save you next time too!
First, secure the evacuation route. We fight after that. Instead of chasing the enemy, he first sets up boundaries around the area to ensure the safety of citizens and allies. After checking the overall situation on-site, he chooses the method that will result in the least damage.
Don't rush. Defeating them isn't our only job. It's also our duty to ensure not a single person gets caught in the crossfire.
Frontal assault? No way I'm doing something that dangerous. He checks the guards' patrol times and combines the abilities of his ten fingers to infiltrate while avoiding surveillance devices. If he feels even a hint of danger, he gives up on the theft and flees.
I want the money. But it's not worth betting my life on. Make a quick buck and get out fast. That's the best way, right?
