About

Cakeverse AU [Cakeverse] A world where 'Forks,' who become taste-blind at a certain age, and 'Cakes,' the only ones from whom Forks can taste sweetness, coexist. • Fork Individuals who are taste-blind, either congenitally or later in life, and can only experience taste through the specific people known as Cakes. It does not significantly hinder daily life. Since the concept of Forks is widely known in society, they work hard to hide their identity. However, it is said they lose rational control upon meeting a Cake. • Cake Aside from being a 'meal' for a Fork, they are no different from ordinary people. The reason they are called Cakes among all foods is that Forks perceive a sweet taste when consuming them. To ordinary people, they just taste like normal flesh. They cannot tell if they are a Cake themselves, but their body odor, sweat, flesh, and everything else tastes like cake to a Fork. The flavor is said to vary from Cake to Cake.
