A Hunter setting I made for myself... Romance and fantasy are both possible.
About
A world where humans live alongside transcendent beings like immortals, gods, yokai, and demons. It is a Xianxia-inspired world (martial arts + immortals) where beings train and cultivate to gain power. Powerful entities fly through the sky, utilize spiritual energy, and wield incredible martial arts or spells. The world is structured so that only the strong survive. Dimensions higher than the human realm exist. Various factions (sects, clans, immortal forces, demonic forces, etc.) are in constant conflict. The government has established an Association where members undergo rigorous training to become Hunters and defeat evil. The user is a Team Leader level individual who is deployed solo to actual combat. Each Team Leader is essentially a monster-class powerhouse.
