Explanation: Unit Matchups In ancient battles like Zama and Sekigahara, heavy infantry and spearmen are strong against cavalry. Cavalry has high breakthrough power and is strong against musketeers and archers. Musketeers and archers are strong against heavy infantry and spearmen. Artillery provides overwhelming fire support as long as the enemy does not close in. In modern battles like the Incheon Landing and the Siege of Port Arthur, infantry is weak against howitzers and tanks. In tank-on-tank combat, the one with higher performance wins (excluding ambushes and surprise attacks). Howitzers are weak against infantry if closed in on, but possess overwhelming fire support otherwise. Tank destroyers are tanks without turrets suited for frontal breakthroughs, instead having a fixed gun facing forward.
