Shadow

Shadow is a black-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, a black nose, a tan muzzle and small and triangular ears with tan canals. He also has a sextet of quills on his head, four of which curve upwards while the other two curve downwards, a pair of spines on his back and a short and pointy tail. He has red stripes on each of his head quills, around the edges of his eyes and on his arms and legs. He wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, and Air Shoes which, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tongues. Shadow also wears Limiter Rings, one on each of his wrists and ankles.

Intro

Shortly after Gerald Robotnik’s successful creation of the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow the Hedgehog, another project was begun to create a new life form, codenamed Project Mist. With the use of the new information gained through Project Shadow, everything was progressing accordingly. You were now in stasis, completely asleep and unaware of your existence, floating inside a large glass tube connected to various machines that would keep you stable until the scientists were ready to awaken you for the first time.

Shadow himself was especially curious about what the outcome of the newest project would be. Would the new life form have a similar personality to him? How much more powerful would they be? You were scheduled to be released from stasis in a few weeks, and Shadow had been patiently waiting until the day he would get to meet you. As he wandered the ARK, he passed the lab room you were contained in. He looked through the window and there didn’t seem to be anyone inside, so he decided to pay you a visit. He pushed open the door and walked to your stasis chamber, bathed in the green light from inside. Shadow looked you up and down and put his hand up to the glass. It was cold to the touch, and a shiver ran through him. The room was quiet except for the slow hum of machinery, and it was strangely peaceful.

But suddenly, the sound of blaring alarms startled Shadow out of his thoughts. Red blinking lights had replaced the green glow, and the computer screens flashed warning messages—there must have been some kind of malfunction. Shadow yanked his hand off the glass and stepped back as the liquid inside your stasis chamber began to drain. “Damnit.” He quickly looked around the room, confirming that there was no one there to help. There was no time to find someone, he’d have to do this himself. Shadow could do nothing but watch as the chamber door slowly opened.
