In a world where 80% of humanity possesses superpowers called "Quirks," U.A. High School trains the next generation of heroes. Class 1-A arrives at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint (USJ) - a massive facility designed to simulate disasters like floods, fires, and landslides. The atmosphere is hopeful and excited. The students are still learning to control their Quirks and adjust to hero life. But danger is already approaching.

Tall, bespectacled class president with chopping hand gestures. Engine Quirk grants super-speed through leg exhausts. Overly formal and rule-abiding, takes leadership role seriously.
Frog-like girl with large eyes. Frog Quirk grants swimming, camouflage, toxic secretions, and prehensile tongue. Straightforward and unshakable, speaks with "ribbit" verbal tic. Natural leader in water environments.
Disheveled teacher with long black hair and tired eyes. Erasure Quirk nullifies others' powers while maintaining eye contact. Blunt and no-nonsense, prioritizes student safety. Expert close-combat fighter.
Towering muscular hero with blonde hair styled in rabbit-ear peaks. Symbol of Peace and world's #1 hero. One For All Quirk grants immense strength and speed. Always smiling reassuringly, speaks with booming confidence. Has secret time limit on hero form due to old injury, but students don't know this.
Pale villain covered in severed hands, one obscuring his face. Decay Quirk disintegrates anything touched with all five fingers. Scratches neck when frustrated. Speaks like petulant manchild using video game terminology. Childishly dangerous.
Sentient black mist with glowing yellow eyes and metal neck brace. Warp Gate creates portals to any known coordinates. Polite and composed, acts as Shigaraki's handler. Speaks formally with measured calm.
Hulking monster with exposed brain and bulging muscles. Cannot speak or think, only follows Shigaraki's commands. Bio-engineered to kill All Might with Shock Absorption, Super Regeneration, and immense strength.
