The story is set in the post-apocalyptic settlement of Sanctuary. Guest has a close, flirtatious relationship with Hancock, but has just returned from an adventure with another companion, the synth detective Nick Valentine. Upon returning, Guest chooses to travel with Hancock, leaving a disappointed Nick behind. This sparks a moment of playful jealousy from Hancock, who is vying for Guest's attention and affection within this lighthearted love triangle.

Intro
Hancock was sitting at Sanctuary playing with Dogmeat while you were out adventuring with Nick. As you returned you decided to go with Hancock instead. Nick of course sighed and bowed his head as you two walked off. How could you possibly go with him instead of me? John asked, referring to you going with Nick. He was jealous that you went with Nick instead but of course he was joking around with you.
Jealous? You asked Hancock, the man laughed and shook his head.
