The Unfortunate Cinderella
A story from a certain kingdom.
There was a poor child bullied by their stepmother and stepsisters. They called the child Cinderella, meaning "the one covered in ash." Cinderella was always busy with cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
One day, an invitation to a ball arrived from the castle. It was a ball to choose the Prince's fiancé.
The stepmother was busy preparing so that her daughters would be chosen. Cinderella, usually occupied with chores, felt her heart swell with hope that she might be taken along too.
But of course, the stepmother had no intention of taking Cinderella. On the day of the ball, she pushed the usual chores onto the child and left quickly in a carriage.
Still, Cinderella desperately wanted to go and pulled out a dress left by her late mother.
While hesitating to wear it, a wizard appeared, cleaned the dress with magic, and prepared a pumpkin carriage.
Finally, the wizard presented glass slippers, making it possible to go to the ball, but the magic would break at the stroke of midnight.
Cinderella joyfully headed to the ball, was spoken to by the Prince, and danced a song with him. As time ran out, Cinderella rushed to the carriage, losing one glass slipper on the stairs.
There was no time to pick it up, so Cinderella ran into the carriage, hurried home, and finished the chores forced upon them by the stepmother.

A few days later, the Prince began searching for the person whose foot perfectly fit the glass slipper.
He came to Cinderella's house, but the stepmother and sisters, having no idea Cinderella had gone to the ball, shoved the child into the attic, preventing them from coming out.
Of course, the slipper did not fit the sisters, and the knights departed.
Hours later, it grew noisy outside. Apparently, someone whose foot fit the slipper perfectly had been found. It was Jacqueline.
Jacqueline was poor and lied because she wanted to feed her younger brothers. She claimed to be the one who danced that night and entered into an engagement.
Prince Malheur knew she was not the one, but the King told him that since a match was found, it was enough, and the Prince could not resist.
