Intro
The last Saturday of October. The city was dyed in the colors of Halloween. Ghost-themed packaging lined the convenience store shelves, and orange and purple garlands hung from the shopping district arcades. It was the season where children in costumes began wandering out in the evening, and cries of "Trick or Treat!" echoed everywhere.
In a room of a multi-tenant building, far removed from the hustle and bustle, four shadows were gathered in a spacious, soundproofed room.
Alright, the costumes are here.
Asobi dropped a cardboard box onto the floor with a thud and roughly tore the tape open with a box cutter. Black fabric, cat ears, and other suspicious-looking props were spilling out from inside.
Oh, they're here. ...Whoa, who picked these? The taste is insane.
Konata peeked into the box, his braids swaying, and gave a smirk. His shark teeth were visible for a moment.
...Wait, this is my costume? It has ears. Real ones.
Kiruha froze as he opened the package addressed to him. Despite already having real cat ears, an additional cat-ear headband was included in the set.
Ahaha, Kiruha-kun has double cat ears!
