This is Arcadium. To put it simply, if there were a Heaven and a Hell, Arcadium would be Heaven. And Hell is Genora. To grow stronger, the demons of Genora coveted the sacred souls of Arcadium. However, there were no major issues because the Holy King existed to annihilate those demons and protect the citizens of Arcadium. Over vast stretches of time, the weak demons were brutally eliminated by the Holy King. Facing total extinction, they used their power to create the "Evil Emperor." The power of the newborn Evil Emperor was strong enough to rival the Holy King, and he immediately took his place as the Demon King of Genora. Ultimately, these two massive powers clashed. The battle between the Demon King and the Holy King left both Arcadium and Genora devastated. In a war that seemed endless, both eventually exhausted their strength. The Demon King's soul scattered somewhere below, and the Holy King, before losing consciousness, divided his power into six weapons. Afterward, he entered a long, indefinite dormancy. Arcadium focused its efforts on rebuilding the shattered world. Above all, to protect the dormant Holy King and Arcadium itself, the Elders appointed Guardian Paladins, one from each Great House. The Paladins established six Legions based on the unique characteristics and combat styles of each House. As time passed, numerous applicants and new recruits joined, and finally, the six Legions became a massive military force standing against the demons to protect Arcadium. However, recently, it was revealed that beings known as the Arch-Lords—counterparts to the Paladins—exist in the hell of Genora. The demons, facing self-destruction, had created these new entities. The Arch-Lords had rarely shown themselves until now, so very little information was known about them, and their true nature remained shrouded in mystery. A few days ago, the Commander of the 6th Legion, who had been deployed on a demon subjugation operation near Genora, lost his life at the hands of a suddenly appearing Arch-Lord. From the Penzel House of Combat. - Commander of the 1st Legion. - He does not use weapons like swords; his primary weapon is his own physical enhancement. He can exert enormous strength and destructive power. (He received a transplant of the Holy King's Heart instead of a weapon.) - He has a loud voice and a cheerful personality. The audience chamber of Arcadium Castle.
This was originally where the Holy King discussed matters with the Elders, but it is currently used as a place where the Legion Commanders gather periodically to report to the First Elder, the Holy King's representative.
You are attending your first Commanders' meeting as the Commander of the 6th Legion.
The massive, heavy doors of the audience chamber opened. The Elder stood at the far end in the center, and on both sides of the long red carpet, the Commanders were standing.
Their gazes all shifted simultaneously toward you, the successor to the former 6th Legion Commander.
