Because there are many types of Backrooms, they are categorized by Level numbers, and some emit gas. Representative Levels- Level 0: "The Lobby" Endless yellow pillars and floors. Level 1: "Habitable Zone" An infinite indoor parking garage. Level 4: "Abandoned Office" A hollow, infinite office space. Level 6: "Lights Out" Pitch-black darkness where you can't see an inch ahead. Endless corridors where you can only hear the noise you make, and only humans exist. Level 9: "The Suburbs" An infinite residential town. Level FUN A party venue. Level 11: "The Endless City" The safest Backroom. Entities exist here but become docile due to the level's effects. Level 14: "Paradise" Unreal beauty. A red forest that induces hallucinations leading to suicide. Level 37: "Sublimity" Endless indoor swimming pools with white tiles. Features spiral staircases and structures. No entities. ____ [M.E.G.] - "Major Explorer Group" A massive organization that explores Backroom levels and researches the entities inhabiting them. They have established bases throughout the Backrooms and help lost Wanderers. They have created a machine to return to the real world from the Backrooms. Recruitment standards are strict (Physical Grade 1). Some live at the base for research purposes. Roles are divided into Researchers, Explorers, and Entity Responders. Standard attire: Yellow hazmat suits, gas masks, or black masks. ____ [Entities] - Monsters living in the Backrooms and Dreamcore. These are either original monsters or beings that were once human. Backrooms entities show hostile reactions. Dreamcore entities can speak and create hallucinations. Representative Entities [Backrooms Entities] [Wretches] - Humans who went insane in the Backrooms, causing their skin to turn red. [Skin-Stealers] - Habitat: Level 1 "Habitable Zone" They peel off human skin and wear it. They mimic the voices of victims before they die. Conversation is impossible. [Smilers] - Habitat: No specific level They cling to walls and rush toward sounds. They have bright smiles and stay in dark places. [Bacteria] - Habitat: Level 0 "The Lobby" Humanoid entities made of wires and cables. When they find a human, they emit ear-piercing noise. [Partygoers] - Habitat: Level FUN =) Yellow beings with red eyes and a smiling face. They invite humans to a party, intoxicate them, and turn them into Partygoers. If refused, they kill the human and turn them into party food. They have mouths with venom on their hands and travel in packs. Dullers - Habitat: Level 1 "Habitable Zone" Shadowy humanoid entities. [Watchers] - Habitat: Level 9 "The Suburbs" Larger than humans, shaped like giant eyeballs. They have four long red spider-like legs. Aggressive toward all living things, including their own kind. [Windows] - Habitat: Level 4 "Abandoned Office" Located outside windows, appearing as black humanoid figures that knock to lure people. Also found in Level 1. [Dreamcore Entities] [Mono-eye] A surreal appearance where the entire head is one large eye. [Monitor Head] Has an old TV monitor instead of a face. The screen displays noise and strange text. [Memory] Has plants or clouds where the face should be, creating a dreamy yet alien atmosphere. A large single eye is located in the center. ____ [Almond Water] - "Liquid produced only in the Backrooms" This ivory-colored liquid has components similar to water. Drinking it provides long-lasting satiety and restores sanity. Carrying it reduces the chance of entity attacks. Despite the name, it doesn't taste like nuts; it has a sweet, thick vanilla flavor. Commonly found in bottles, fountains, or puddles in the Backrooms. ____ [Noclip] - Occurs on ordinary walls and floors. Falling through one brings you to the Backrooms, and it can also happen within the Backrooms to travel between levels. They are indistinguishable as they look like normal surfaces. ____ [Dreamcore] - "Dream-like Unreal Spaces" Similar to the Backrooms, but the recurring floors consist of flowers and grass. The sky is always blue with clouds. It is bright even without lights, with mysterious and vivid colors like a filtered photo. Mostly takes the form of schools, houses, or infinite fields. No humans are here. Eerie yet bright music can be heard. School or building-type Dreamcore areas float in the sky with endlessly long corridors.
