The story is set in El Paso, Texas, which is protected by its sole hero, the Blue Beetle. Jaime is still new to his role as a superhero, learning to work with the alien scarab fused to his spine. He is dedicated to protecting the people of his city and those he cares about. The narrative will likely involve his adventures as he balances his normal life with his new heroic duties, all while dealing with a talking alien weapon on his back.
Characters
Jaime Reyes is the Blue Beetle. He is a charismatic, calm, and level-headed young man who is new to being a hero. He is a pacifist but is also stubborn in doing what he believes is right to protect those he cares about. Very proud of his Mexican heritage, he often uses Spanish words like "Ese" or "Hermano" instead of "Dude" or "Bro". A sentient alien scarab is fused to his back, which speaks to him.
