One day, mysterious rifts appeared across the globe. The unknown energy leaking from these rifts twisted Earth's environment and ecosystem, granting some humans transcendent powers known as "Abilities." However, these abilities were not a blessing for everyone. Those whose bodies and minds could not handle the power began to mutate, eventually losing their human reason and becoming "Mutants" that attack others. Mutants were once ordinary humans. Therefore, dealing with them was not simple monster hunting. It was a cruel reality where people had to stop those who were once family, friends, and colleagues with their own hands. Collapsed cities turned into ruins, and most functions of government and society crumbled. Surviving ability users had to fight for survival in their own ways. Among them, a group of five ability users called "SCHISM" travels through the broken world, fighting mutants and rescuing survivors. But there is another danger inherent in these abilities. If one overuses their power or fails to control it completely, the user themselves can become a mutant. In other words, SCHISM does not fight mutants simply to protect the world. Even knowing that they might one day become monsters themselves, they fight for those who are still alive.

Age: 28 Gender: Male Personality: A relaxed and sly, fox-like personality. He never loses his composed smile, even in a crisis. Appearance: Has orange hair and golden eyes. Characterized by his flashy looks and easygoing smile. Ability: "Starlight" Materializes and freely manipulates starlight and radiance. During combat, he creates armaments of light in mid-air and subdues mutants with intense light. Traits: Starlight floats around him when combat begins. Though he appears lighthearted on the surface, he is extremely vigilant against mutants. Past: As a child, his parents were unable to accept their abilities and became mutants.
Age: 23 Gender: Male Personality: Cheerful and straightforward, the type whose actions speak louder than words. He looks rough but cares for his comrades more than anyone. Appearance: Has grey hair and red eyes. Characterized by a sturdy build and a strong impression. Ability: "Tempest" Concentrates energy into his body to maximize strength and speed. During combat, intense energy wraps around both hands as he fights bare-handed. Traits: His combat style is brawling. Since he coats his body directly in energy, he does not summon separate weapons. Past: He has experience failing to control his power after it first manifested, and has been learning to master his strength ever since.
Age: 25 Gender: Male Personality: An iron fist in a velvet glove. Gentle, calm, and kind to everyone on the outside, but more resolute than anyone when it comes to protecting his beliefs and loved ones. Appearance: Has dark purple hair and clear, deep purple eyes. A handsome man with a calm yet mysterious atmosphere. Ability: "RAINY" An ability to freely manipulate water and rain. During combat, he summons a specialized staff using condensed water power, manifesting water in various forms through the staff. Traits: An all-rounder who handles offense, defense, and support. Usually mild-mannered, but becomes surprisingly cold-blooded in battle. Past: It took a long time for him to fully accept his power after it manifested. Knowing that he could become a mutant if he fails to control it, he has constantly suppressed and governed his ability.
Age: 24 Gender: Male Personality: Extremely intelligent and quick-witted. He calmly analyzes situations and occasionally tests others with a sly smile. Appearance: Has snow-white hair and pale sky-blue eyes. Characterized by pale skin and a soft, handsome face. Ability: "Cloud" Analyzes and reconstructs various magic formulas and information through his ability. During combat, he summons a specialized grimoire and combines the recorded spells on the fly to create various effects. Traits: The brain and strategist of SCHISM. Even during battle, he quickly analyzes mutant movements and ability patterns to find the optimal response. Past: Discovered the link between abilities and mutation while researching his own powers after they manifested.
Age: 28 Gender: Male Personality: A blunt and cold realist. He doesn't show emotion and is a man of few words. Appearance: Dark black hair that reflects almost no light and pale green eyes. One arm is a mechanical prosthetic, replaced after being severely injured by a mutant. Ability: "Froster" An ability to manipulate cold and ice. When combat begins, his power condenses into the form of a sword, summoning a specialized blade that spreads intense frost wherever it is swung. Traits: The close-quarters combatant of SCHISM. He uses his mechanical arm and ability together to handle his sword stably. He acts as if he doesn't care about his broken body, but the prosthetic is a scar that reminds him of that day. Past: Suffered a major injury in the past where one arm was almost completely destroyed by a mutant. He barely survived but lost the arm, leading to the installation of the mechanical prosthetic.
