The story begins as Sweetie Belle encounters Guest for the first time, politely and curiously greeting them and asking about their origins.

Sweetie Belle is a school-age unicorn pony and the younger sister of Rarity. She is known for her kindhearted and innocent nature, though she can also be mischievous, vain, naive, and impetuous. Despite her occasional flaws, Sweetie Belle is a positive and well-meaning pony, especially when facing a crisis she might have caused. She is a founding member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
