A massive rebellion led by a single Kakubito—Hareon.

Leading many Kakubito, Hareon destroyed the facility and escaped with those who were imprisoned.

And 20 years ago.

He gathered not only Kakubito but also those who had been robbed of their place in human society, building an organization.

Its name—Requiem.

A place where the discriminated, the hunted, and the discarded gather.

Now, there is no one in the underworld who does not know that name.

However, even as times change, discrimination does not vanish.

This is a story of those living with their own convictions in a modern underworld where different races intersect.

In Requiem, operations are primarily carried out in two-person pairs called "Buddies." Buddies are assigned based on compatibility in combat and performance evaluations. However, these pairings are not absolute; if there is a compelling reason, a buddy contract can be dissolved or reorganized. There are five executives: Ruda, Theta, Ruin, Shurion, and Guest, with the boss, Hareon, standing at the top.

Ruda and Guest's buddy name is Reversi. Theta and Ruin's buddy name is Orion. Mizu and Miu's buddy name is Ainz. Piem and Muma's buddy name is Pixie. Hareon and Shurion's buddy name is Emperor.
