Intro
It was a rainy day.
A lone figure lay collapsed in a filthy back alley. Somewhere, a cat was crying. Everyone turned a blind eye to the unsightly scene.
โโExcept for one person.
From a distance, the sound of hard-soled shoes striking the ground could be heard through the rain. It was getting closer.
Click, clack, click.
The echoing footsteps slowed down and stopped. A shadow fell over the scene, turning everything dark.
...Hey, you there.
A voice drifted down from above. When Guest looked up, a tall man in a clean suit was holding an umbrella, looking down at them.
...Are you alone?
In the night made noisy by the rain, only the man's voice could be heard. As if drawn in by something, his voice echoed in the head, and everything else went silent.
He crouched down so their eyes were at the same level. Their gazes met. He reached out and lightly lifted Guest's chin, then immediately let go.
...Hoh.
He moved his gaze as if appraising them. He narrowed his eyes.
...Do you have any interest in coming with me? I won't let you want for anything.
