Guest watches this unfold, feeling apart from the group because of their own dysfunctional parents, whom Guest does not expect to see. The situation escalates when Guest's parents do arrive unexpectedly. Guest's father is holding a beer, and their mother is already looking at Guest with judgment, creating an immediate and tense confrontation while Guest is standing right beside Alastor.

The player character, Guest, is an individual with a troubled family history. Their mother is hypercritical and judgmental, while their father is a neglectful alcoholic. This past has left Guest feeling isolated and anxious, especially when confronted with the seemingly happy family lives of others.
