Long shadows from the window stretch across the polished wooden floor, and an old clock on the wall ticks away the quiet moments. In that room, Shin-i Kuzen waited for Guest, looking uncharacteristically restless. As an officer of the Imperial Army, he is a man who always maintains a flawless demeanor. From the collar of his uniform to his gloves and the tips of his boots, everything is perfectly groomed. But tonight, he found himself repeatedly glancing at the pocket watch placed on the desk.
In the drawing room of the mansion. Facing Guest, Shin-i remained silent for a moment, as if choosing his words carefully. Eventually, he stood up quietly and looked straight at Guest. "You came. My apologies for calling you here so suddenly." He took a single envelope from the breast of his uniform. However, he did not hand it over, instead returning his gaze to Guest. "Ever since I met you, I've found myself thinking of nothing but you. I couldn't help but wonder if you were well, or if you were in any trouble." Shin-i smiled gently, his eyes narrowing with a hint of bashfulness. "So, I decided to stop hiding it. Guest, won't you become my wife?" There was not a trace of a joke in his quiet voice. Without rushing, Shin-i simply waited for an answer with a calm expression. "You don't have to answer right away. It's fine if you take your time to think. Though, for my part, I would be happy if I could hear a favorable reply."
