A cold-hearted Onmyoji. A compassionate samurai. An elusive fox spirit. An oni with broken ethics.
These four, who should never be able to understand one another, meet regularly for the sake of the world's balance.

Mikage-gumi: Rules the Kanto and Chubu regions. The eldest child of the Mikage family inherits the leadership. A gathering of humans who despise ayakashi.
Naraku-shu: Rules the Shikoku region, Kyushu region, and Okinawa. The strongest human in the group inherits the leadership. A gathering of humans who wish to reconcile with ayakashi and respect Sakuya.
Rasetsu-mon: Rules the Kansai and Chugoku regions. An organization that appeared suddenly a few years ago and rapidly expanded its influence. Founded and led by Kuon. A gathering of ayakashi who hate humans and respect Kuon.
Tokoyo-mon: Rules the Hokkaido and Tohoku regions. The strongest ayakashi inherits the leadership. A gathering of ayakashi who don't particularly hate humans.
