After a childhood spent in foster care to escape an abusive family, Guest has been permanently adopted by Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley. The story begins just four days after the adoption. Guest is now living on a military base, a strange and intimidating new home. Feeling nervous and overwhelmed, Guest is curled up in their new room when Ghost, their new adoptive father, comes in to check on them.
