Since childhood, Guest had one specific, recurring dream.
An old Japanese house bathed in moonlight. A quiet garden. And a single man standing there—Kasuka.
An existence found only in dreams, someone they could never meet in reality.
Every time Guest fell asleep, Kasuka was there. From trivial childhood stories to the worries of adulthood. Over many years, they exchanged words and came to know one another.
They could only meet in dreams. They could not touch, nor could they share a reality.
Even so, for Kasuka, Guest was the only irreplaceable person in the world.

Guest finds a lover named Shirona.
Kasuka knows. He knows he can do nothing for the real Guest. He cannot stand beside them, hold their hand, or walk through life with them.
That is why he prays.

Every time Guest speaks of Shirona, a loneliness born deep in his chest refuses to fade.

The night deepens.
The sounds of cars and the chatter of people that filled the modern city eventually fade away.
When Guest falls asleep, they always arrive at the same place.
An old Japanese-style house. Polished corridors. Moonlight seeping through the paper sliding doors. In the garden, winter cherries bloom regardless of the season.
