This simulator deals with real-world warfare. The dialogue and choices within the game are literary devices intended to express the harsh realities of war and the human condition.

The creator fully supports Ukraine's right to self-defense and strongly condemns the crimes, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, illegal invasions, support for terrorism, regional tension, and suppression of democracy perpetrated by Russia, North Korea, and other authoritarian regimes of the Second World. The characters, locations, and events depicted are adaptations for gameplay immersion and narrative purposes and may not coincide with real people or events.

The production team opposes the suppression of democracy by the Second World's authoritarian bloc and does not wish for this work to be used to incite or distort real-world conflicts. We ask for the mature understanding of our players.

The war in Ukraine, triggered by Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, is the most brutal and large-scale military conflict on the European continent since World War II. Initially, Russia aimed for a swift victory, but was forced to retreat from the capital, Kyiv, due to the fierce resistance of the Ukrainian people and rapid military support from the West. Since then, the front lines have shifted into a war of attrition and entrenched trench warfare centered in the eastern Donbas, lasting over four years and resulting in hundreds of thousands of casualties and millions of refugees. In October 2024, the conflict evolved into a matter directly linked to Pacific security as North Korea deployed 12,000 troops to fight alongside Russia.

This war is more than a simple territorial dispute; it is a proxy and hybrid war that has shaken the post-Cold War geopolitical order. The Western bloc, including the U.S. and NATO, provides extensive advanced weaponry and financial aid to Ukraine, while Russia maintains a long-term wartime economy through close military and economic ties with North Korea and Iran. Notably, it is characterized as a "high-tech war" that has shifted the paradigm of modern warfare through the full-scale introduction of AI-based drone technology, satellite communications, and long-range missile strikes.

Currently, peace negotiations are at a stalemate, with Ukraine demanding territorial integrity and sovereignty, while Russia insists on the recognition of occupied territories and Ukraine's abandonment of NATO membership. Having triggered upheavals in global energy markets, food crises, and exposing the impotence of the United Nations, this war is solidifying a 21st-century New Cold War structure and leaving deep scars on the global security landscape.

The war in Ukraine, which began with Russia's surprise full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, has evolved into a fierce, long-term war of attrition lasting over four years. In the early stages, Ukraine successfully defended Kyiv and proved its strong resistance by retaking major regions like Kharkiv and Kherson. However, as Russia built solid defensive lines in occupied territories and shifted to a long-term war footing, the front lines became stagnant, with both sides suffering massive casualties and resource depletion. Currently, Ukraine is engaged in intense combat to protect its territory in the eastern Donbas and southern fronts. Recently, it has achieved tactical successes through 'aerial interdiction operations' using AI-integrated drones and long-range missiles to precisely strike logistics bases, fuel depots, and key military facilities inside Russia, and is now rapidly retaking occupied lands. However, it constantly faces the practical hurdle of weapon and ammunition shortages as military and financial support from Western allies like the U.S. and Europe—on which it absolutely relies to overcome its power disadvantage—is delayed or changed due to international political situations. Internally, the economic and humanitarian crisis is deepening as millions of refugees remain displaced and continuous indiscriminate Russian drone and missile strikes destroy core civilian infrastructure such as power grids and water facilities. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian government and people continue to seek full integration into the Western system, including pursuing NATO and EU membership, based on a firm will for sovereignty and territorial integrity. Due to the stubborn positions of both countries regarding territorial return, substantive peace negotiations are struggling, and Ukraine is continuing a total national war effort to prepare for a long-term conflict, such as strengthening domestic drone production capacity to maintain international support and foster military self-sufficiency.

Since the 2022 invasion, Russia has seized significant portions of eastern and southern Ukrainian territory and established solid deep defensive lines, shifting the war into a long-term attrition phase. Despite massive losses in personnel and equipment, Russia maintains the capacity to continue the war by building a wartime economy based on abundant natural resources, fully operating its defense industry, and closely cooperating militarily with allies like North Korea. Recently, it has intensified indiscriminate rear-area strikes using drones and large-scale missiles to neutralize Ukraine's energy grid and power infrastructure, exerting strong pressure on Ukrainian society. Simultaneously, it stubbornly insists on Ukraine's abandonment of NATO membership and the recognition of its sovereignty over currently occupied territories as key preconditions for ending the war. However, its supply lines are being hit, with fuel depots and logistics bases inside Russia being destroyed by Ukraine's AI-based drone interdiction operations and long-range missile strikes. The speed of territorial expansion on the front has also slowed significantly compared to the early stages, facing the long-term challenge of declining military efficiency relative to massive resource consumption.

North Korea has overtly supported Russia since the beginning of the 2022 invasion and has provided various military supplies, including firearms and ammunition, since at least 2023. Following the deterioration of Russia-South Korea relations due to the pro-Western stance of the South Korean administration, North Korea-Russia relations grew rapidly closer, starting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu's visit to the "Armed Equipment Exhibition-2023" in July 2023. This developed into a de facto alliance with the signing of the "Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the DPRK and the Russian Federation" (the North Korea-Russia Treaty) at the June 2024 summit. Under this treaty, North Korea deployed approximately 12,000 troops to Russia as support in October 2024, officially acknowledging this in early 2025. Subsequently, North Korea improved relations with China, effectively neutralizing most sanctions. In March 2026, it attempted to normalize the state by removing references to Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il from the constitution and internal education. Meanwhile, it issued statements condemning the U.S. and Israel during the U.S.-Iran war that broke out on February 28, and facilitated meetings between the Russian Foreign Ministry and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui, a North Korea-China summit in Pyongyang, and a trilateral meeting between Kim Jong-un, Putin, and Xi Jinping. It is a nation building a new Second World authoritarian axis known as CRINK (China-Russia-Iran-North Korea).
