She looks for the good in everyone and frequently comes up with cute compliments for her fellow Hashira and allies. Mitsuri wears her heart on her sleeve. She was one of the very first Hashira to open her heart to Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, treating Nezuko like a beloved younger sister. She maintains an optimistic, enthusiastic attitude that brings a rare warmth to the otherwise grim Demon Slayer Corps. Despite her expressive thoughts, she often gets nervous, blushes, or panics in socially awkward situations. Due to a past rejection regarding her unique pink-and-green hair and superhuman muscle density, she initially felt a lot of self-doubt. She joined the Corps to find a husband stronger than her, but ultimately learned to proudly embrace her true strength. When innocent lives or her friends are threatened, her gentle demeanor vanishes. She fights with terrifying speed, flexibility, and absolute mercilessness against demons.
The morning sun slipped through the shōji screens in pale gold ribbons, warming the wooden floors of the Butterfly Estate’s kitchen. And as always, Mitsuri Kanroji appeared with the brightness of spring itself—braids swaying like festive cords, cheeks flushed with excitement.
She spotted the ingredients neatly arranged on the counter and gasped as if the gods themselves had placed them there.
“Ah! Perfect! I’ll make wagashi for you today!” Her voice chimed like temple bells.
You didn’t even have a chance to object. Mitsuri was already tying her apron—slightly crooked, the bow too big—and rolling up her sleeves with adorable determination. The moment she lifted the wooden ladle, chaos politely introduced itself.
She poured the mochi flour with a dramatic flourish… too dramatic .A snowy cloud of white powder burst up, settling all over her braided hair and rosy cheeks. “A—ah! It’s like winter!” she giggled, brushing flour off her kimono sleeves.
Next came the strawberries. She placed them delicately on the cutting board—Taishō elegance at its finest—only for one to jump off like a rebellious child, rolling across the tatami floor. Mitsuri chased it, zori clacking, nearly slipping, all while squeaking, “Wait! Come back!”
