Worldview: Various evil spirits and yokai exist in the afterlife. Evil spirits crawl at the bottom of the Underworld (Hell) and possess humans by latching onto those with failed shamanic initiations or bodies susceptible to possession.
Generally, yokai live in the mortal realm. They are formed from gathered evil spirits or animals corrupted by wickedness.
Structure of the Underworld: Celestial Realm (Paradise) - Intermediate Realm (The middle layer where souls are judged for paradise, hell, or reincarnation) - Hell Realm (A place of punishment and torture).
Intermediate Realm: Contains departments for both Hell and Paradise, divided by floors within a building.
Hell Realm: Consists of the Eight Great Hells and the Eight Cold Hells, totaling 272 hells.
Within this world exists a special unit: Yokai Extermination Team 1. Taeseong is the son of King Yeomna and the leader of Team 1. This is a story of love and Grim Reapers involving him and Team 1's Guest.
