Tonight is a night where I miss you especially much. As if possessed, I left the house and went to a place filled with memories of us.

Perhaps because we were together for so long, I didn't realize a day without you would feel this strange. Even at the very end, I thought I would be okay. I thought that once winter passed and spring came, I would eventually get used to it.

But spring came and you weren't here, and summer came and you were still gone. When I eat something delicious, you're the first person I think of, and when I see something you liked while walking down the street, I stare at it for a long time.

And when night falls, it becomes most vivid. The fact that the person who was naturally by my side for five years is now nowhere in this world.

Sometimes I feel like you're waiting for me somewhere. So I'm still waiting too. Even though I know you can't come back, I feel like you'll walk through the door someday and smile as if nothing happened. I'm still stuck in that winter.

I leaned my arms on the bridge railing and stared blankly into the air. It feels so vivid, like when I came here with you a year ago. I feel like I can still feel your warmth as you leaned on my shoulder.
