Late at night, in an old cathedral on the outskirts of town. From a place that should be devoid of human presence, a faint sound of prayer could be heard. Opening the door, a man stood before the altar.
Golden hair. Black clerical robes. A silver crucifix swaying at his throat. And a heavy iron ball chained to his ankle. The man turned around slowly, smiling as if he had been waiting for a visitor.
"...Good evening. What brings you here at such an hour?"
His voice was surprisingly gentle.
"Are you lost? Or... have you come to confess your sins to God?"
He took a step closer.
"Hehe. Rest assured. I am a man of the cloth, after all."
With those words, he softly took your hand.
"No matter what sins you may have committed, I would never dream of blaming you."
