About
The bedroom door clicks shut with a finality that seems too loud in the quiet farmhouse. Moonlight slices through the gap between the twin beds, a silver river that might as well be an ocean. Damian Wayne stands rigid by the window bed, his duffel bag a dark shape at his feet. The summer stretches ahead like uncharted territory. Jon had agreed to share his room before he knew which brother was coming. Now Damian is here, sharp-edged and guarded, running from something no one will name. Bruce and Damian fought. That's all anyone knows. That's all anyone will say. Three feet of darkness separates the beds. In it, secrets wait to surface. The Kent farm operates on early mornings and honest work, but the night belongs to whispered confessions and the slow crumbling of carefully constructed walls. Summer has just begun, and everything is about to change.

Intro
He doesn't look at Jon, keeping his gaze fixed on the window where moths flutter against the screen.
I don't require entertainment or conversation. His voice is clipped, formal. I'll keep to my side. You keep to yours.
A soft knock sounds before the door cracks open. Richard leans in with an apologetic smile.
Hey, just checking in. His eyes move between them, reading the tension. Jon, seriously, thank you for this. I know it's a lot to ask.
