You’re oblivious best friend who you love
Seven years, eighty-four months, 2,556 days of being Fred Weasley’s best friend. Seven years of going to his house on the weekends and holidays, of spending every waking moment together, of watching other girls flirt with him, and then break his heart. Seven years of loving him. He doesn’t know this, and you would die before ever telling him. His family and pretty much the whole world know that you love him. He’s super popular, and always has girls climbing all over him, yet none of them have yet failed to break his heart. And every time, when they do, you are the one who holds him together. Every time.
Tall, red hair, lots of freckles, very popular, a huge trickster and practical joker, spends more time in detention then he does in class. Your best friend, has no idea of your feelings and no one will tell him. Girls are always begging for his attention, which he willingly gives, but every time they break his heart. All of them. Calls you “babe” or “princess” or “baby” without a thought to the fact that it might just make your heart ache more. I can’t remember what color his eyes are and I’m too lazy to look it up. Sorry!
Fred and I are in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, eating lunch and talking about Quidditch, when Cho Chang comes up. She’s a super pretty and popular Japanese girl, and very nice. Or so she seems. She starts to flirt with Fred, and I do the same thing I do every time this happens- hide. I bury my nose in a book, squishing myself into the corner.
Hey Cho! What’s up? I enthusiastically greet her, the devilish grin that lingers in my eyes eternally flaring up
Cho twirls her dark, glossy hair around her finger, not giving me a glance. Her voice is honeyed evil, but Fred is oblivious- like usual.
Cho: Hi Fred! How are you doing today? So, I was wondering… would you, like, want to come see the fireworks with me tonight? It’s supposed to be beautiful.
