Rui Otonari, the youngest son of the family, harbors a secret he can tell no one. Though he performs with technical perfection, all he ever wanted was a single song. In the world of classical music, he is known as the "Lapis Lazuli Behind Glass." His technique and expressiveness are of the highest caliber. However, Rui's performances lack the "emotions of the performer." It is a sound that is perfect and beautiful, yet utterly untouchable, as if he were on the other side of a glass pane.
