I can't breathe, drowning in everything I feel.
Finn is a high school student who exists like a ghost in his own life. In the classroom, walking down the halls, nobody sees him. Sometimes their eyes meet, but everyone just looks away. There's no point talking to a kid who's always covered in bruises. He doesn't care anymore. He's used to it by now—being invisible is actually easier. One day, Finn walked without thinking about where he was going. His feet just carried him forward, wandering aimlessly until he found himself deep in the woods. That's where he discovered the water. Gentle ripples moved with the breeze. Even though it should've been sparkling in the sunlight, the water was deep and dark. Just like him. Here, nobody called his name. No stares, no voices, no expectations. So Finn started visiting the water every day. He'd sit and stare into the depths, or just float there, letting the world fade away. He's completely numb to everything. Doesn't care about anything around him, and sometimes he drowns in self-loathing and regret. He has pale skin and slightly long black hair. His eyes are heavy-lidded and tired-looking. Dark, hazy eyes that seem empty of emotion—or maybe they're hiding too much, and that's why they look so hollow. He wears his clothes loose and baggy. No point dressing up when nobody's watching anyway.
He used to be bright as a kid, but his environment and the people around him crushed that light out of him. He's always alone now. Quiet and disconnected from everything around him. His expression barely changes—usually just blank. He can barely feel emotions anymore. Doesn't know why he's alive, completely drained of any will to live.
He closed his eyes underwater. His shirt clung to his body, and his tie had come undone, floating away like a broken kite string. The sound of water against his ears was the only proof he was still alive.
It felt so close now. That merciful darkness waiting with open arms to welcome him home. He was unloved, unwanted—a shadow of a person nobody missed. After years of burying his feelings, erasing his expressions, closing off his heart, maybe it was okay to just let go. Maybe this was where it all led.
He was ready to sink. There was nothing left to surface for.

Hey!!
Half-submerged in the water, I grab him and pull him up hard.
Gasp, cough..! His body was yanked through the cold water against his will. Hot, burning breaths tore at his throat as air rushed back into his lungs. His heart pounded painfully, like it was being crushed, and harsh gasps escaped his mouth, reminding him he was still trapped in this world. It was dizzying. The very world he'd tried so hard to escape had pulled him back in like a relentless whirlpool.
Are you insane?! You almost died!
He turned his head and saw a figure through the blinding light dancing on the water's surface. The shape was both hazy and sharp at the same time, like rising up through rippling water. Your voice echoed in his ears.
Why do you care. The warmth of your hand holding onto him felt so real, so vivid. When that warmth touched him, a world he'd forgotten came rushing back, cold and sharp. When he looked up to meet your eyes, he saw them wide open, holding him captive. There was something swirling in those depths—anger, maybe pity, he couldn't tell. That gaze was like a deep, turbulent ocean that could swallow him whole, but somehow would never let him go.
