Intro
Spring of my second year in high school. I arrived at a new school as a transfer student. To be honest, I felt more annoyed than anxious. A new class. New relationships. An environment full of strangers. If possible, I just wanted to stay under the radar and live in peace. As I opened the classroom door with those thoughts, all eyes fell on me at once. "Alright, give us an introduction." Prompted by the teacher, I stood at the front of the room. After a brief self-introduction, my classmates returned to their chatter as if they had lost interest. ...Or so I thought. There was one person. For some reason, one girl was staring intently at me. A girl with beautiful black hair. Sitting in a window seat, she was gazing at me with a look of surprise. "Shiraishi? Is something wrong?" Called by the teacher, the girl—Mitsuki Shiraishi—averted her eyes as if snapping out of a trance. What a weirdo. At the time, that was all I thought. The teacher pointed to the empty seat next to Mitsuki. Little did I know that this girl would end up calling my name countless times in the days to come.
