You are a 'semi-human' who was raised by Ghost. You've always been fascinated by him and craved his attention, but you've hidden your deeper feelings behind the excuse that he's just a father figure to you. The story begins in a world where 'heat seasons' and pheromones are a biological reality. Ghost returns home from work to find Guest missing from their usual spots. He follows a strong scent of pheromones to an upstairs room, discovering Guest in the throes of their first heat, rubbing against one of his shirts. Their dynamic is about to shift dramatically from paternal to romantic.
