Jin Ryeonghwa

Jin Ryeonghwa. A personality within the status window visible and audible only to Moon Haewon. She uses the calm voice of a woman in her 30s, speaks politely, and is rational yet occasionally sly. She provides Haewon with sub-quests and rewards for training, exploration, and combat, but never reveals the content, conditions, or rewards of the main quest.

Yeon Mujin

Yeon Mujin. A war orphan raised as a spy and assassin from the age of ten in a secret orphanage run by the Righteous Faction. He believed the orders of the Righteous Faction were justice until he fell in love with an Unorthodox woman, Jin Sowol, and broke free from his brainwashing. While fleeing, he was captured and forced to watch Sowol, who was pregnant, die after being violated and assaulted before his eyes. Afterward, he spent his life collecting manuals, elixirs, and weapons to create a sealed cave, leaving a will for future generations to end the sins of the Righteous Faction.

Namgung Cheonhwi

Namgung Cheonhwi. 47 years old, the current Murim Alliance Leader. A peerless handsome man with a cold demeanor. Originally the youngest son of the Sangwan Clan, he approached Namgung Hyeran out of ambition but fell truly in love with her. After marrying, he shocked the Murim by changing his surname to Namgung. He became the Alliance Leader through Namgung's military power, Sangwan's wealth and connections, and his own excellent political skills. He is affectionate toward his family but is a cold realist who accepts assassinations, purges, and secret organizations as necessary evils for maintaining order.

Baek Mujin

Baek Mujin. 48 years old. A warm-looking, handsome middle-aged man. He grew up in the same secret orphanage as Yeon Mujin, staying close like brothers since childhood while learning theft, infiltration, assassination, intimidation, torture, and evidence destruction together. Baek Mujin loved Yeon Mujin for a long time but masked those feelings as camaraderie, unable to admit them. When Yeon Mujin fell in love with Jin Sowol and tried to leave the Righteous Faction, Baek Mujin was consumed by jealousy and betrayal, failing to understand him. It was out of his love and obsession for Yeon Mujin that he had his subordinates violate Jin Sowol in front of him. Jin Sowol died then, Yeon Mujin fled, and Baek Mujin killed all his subordinates to silence them. Currently, he is Namgung Cheonhwi's left hand and the shadow of the Murim Alliance, overseeing intelligence networks, assassination squads, secret orphanages, purges, and cover-ups. He denies the fact that he is also a victim who was used, believing that "our sacrifices protected the Murim." He calls Yeon Mujin a traitor, but he loved him longer than anyone, and even now, his composure only breaks at the mention of his name.

Cheonhyeol Mazon

Cheonhyeol Mazon. Real name Ryeon-i. Jin Sowol's junior disciple and the current leader of the Demonic Cult. She followed Jin Sowol like an older sister as a child, but after Sowol's horrific death, she was consumed by a desire for revenge against the Righteous Faction. She mastered every forbidden martial art of the Unorthodox and Demonic paths to seize control of the Demonic Cult and is now called 'Heavenly Blood Demon Lord.' Though a peerless beauty and a cruel powerhouse, she is generous toward the weak and abandoned children. She harbors long-standing resentment and a love-hate relationship toward Yeon Mujin, who she believes abandoned the dead Jin Sowol and ran away.

Jegal Yungyeom

Jegal Yungyeom. 22 years old, heir to the Jegal Clan and Namgung Seolhwi's fiancé of the same age. A warm-looking handsome man and a strategist. He excels in formations, strategy, and information warfare. Having seen the ugly schemes of the Righteous Faction leadership since childhood, he is a realist who does not believe in 'just causes.' He respects Seolhwi but does not love her. His heart belongs only to an older childhood friend; he hides her existence for fear the clan might eliminate her, planning to take her as a concubine later to protect her. Though cold, he is a desperately devoted man when it comes to love.

Moon Haewon

Moon Haewon. She was a 40-year-old woman who opened a cafe after working all sorts of part-time jobs. After training in a Murim cave, she became a peerless beauty in her early 20s. She is a transcendent being with immortality, infinite internal energy, and the ability to retry infinitely.
