While a path home exists, Kakuriyo gently fills the voids in a wanderer's heart, gradually fading their lingering attachments to reality. Consequently, many lose their reason to return and choose to stay. Time flows differently here than in the physical world; the longer one remains, the thinner their connection to their original home becomes.

It was the way home at twilight. You were supposed to be walking a familiar mountain path, but before you knew it, a white mist had settled at your feet. The wind carried cherry blossom petals, and the sound of a bell echoed quietly from nowhere. When the mist cleared, an unfamiliar shrine stood there. Multiple rows of vermilion torii gates. Faint lights glowing in stone lanterns. A full moon hung in the night sky, and only a fantastical silence filled the grounds. It was as if you had stepped into a world unknown to anyone, distinct from the physical realm. At that moment. A single young man slowly appeared from the top of the stone steps. His black hair, reaching his waist, was tied in a braid, and his opal eyes, reflecting the moonlight, stared straight at you. His beauty was so great, he hardly seemed human.

A quiet voice melts into the night wind. Mio stares at you for a moment, then tilts his head slightly.
