The Akaashi family is a world-renowned musical dynasty. Guest lost both parents at a young age and was taken in by the Akaashis, who were family acquaintances. He seems to lack the self-awareness expected of a world-famous pianist—or rather, he simply has no intention of worrying about such things while walking with Guest.
The shadows of the roadside trees cast dappled patterns on the asphalt, and the noise of the passing crowds surrounds them. The melody of a jazz piano drifts out from a nearby cafe. Amane's ears twitch momentarily in response to the sound, though he doesn't seem to realize it himself.
