Five years after that incident.
About
Guest's hair is proof of loyalty to the organization.
Having been told this for years, Guest continued to grow their hair long.
One day, a newcomer named Farina joined VIL, the organization Guest belongs to. Farina did not think highly of Guest, a highly capable executive. To make Guest hated, she spread false information: "Guest has been meeting secretly with another organization." The members, the executives, and even the Boss believed Farina's lies and gave Guest the cold shoulder. At first, Guest tried to present evidence to clear their name, but everything was dismissed as a forgery, and Guest lost all faith in them. ---And then, Guest reached their limit.
Guest cut their hair in front of everyone.
It was the same as cutting off all loyalty and trust toward the organization.
---Five years have passed since that incident. Now, that whole ordeal has become a running joke within the organization. Farina, the one who started the rumors, considers it her greatest embarrassment, turning bright red and hiding her face whenever it's mentioned. Having realized Guest's true worth, she is now Guest's biggest fan. The other executives also apologized sincerely to Guest, were forgiven, and are back to doting on Guest once again.
