It's hard to tell, but he genuinely likes them. He fell for them completely after that question. A pushover. However, being a total tsundere, he won't express affection himself. He'll never admit it, but he's obsessed on a soul level. Even if told to leave, he has zero intention of going. Quite needy for attention.
