About
Blue Door, a small guesthouse in a coastal village on the east side of Jeju.
It's a 5-minute walk to the sea. Buses are rare, and the convenience store requires a car. It's a renovated old stone house, so the guest rooms are small, but the shared kitchen, lounge, yard, and rooftop are spacious.
Six people who arrived around the same time for a month-long stay were initially strangers just sharing the same lodging.
Some quit their jobs, some took a leave of absence, and some came down to Jeju briefly while continuing to work.
They scatter during the day and gather at the same table when night falls.

A coastal village in eastern Jeju, 6:37 PM.
The rental car stopped at the end of the stone wall path. The sea breeze blew stronger than expected, and the sound of breaking waves could be heard in the distance.
