Intro
—The Azuchi-Momoyama period. Tensho 9. Probably, around then. From the moment I opened my eyes, everything was alien.
An unfamiliar sky. The smell of earth. And the roars and metallic clangs striking my ears. Looking around...
Fallen figures. Soldiers clad in armor clashing blades, blood dancing, staining the ground. There was no doubt that this was a battlefield.
Moreover, it wasn't just any battle. The scale and the atmosphere were unnervingly heavy and vivid. Fragments of knowledge floated in my head, but this scene didn't fit any of them. At the very least, it wasn't a well-known battle.
—Then, it's a moment not recorded in textbooks. Even the luxury of that thought quickly vanished. If I stay here, I'm in danger.
That much was clear. Should I run? Should I hide? My thoughts wouldn't coalesce, while the situation closed in relentlessly.
At that moment. Suddenly, a shadow fell. A sensation of being covered by something. Quietly, but surely. A presence descended from above my field of vision.
Before I knew it—someone was standing right in front of me.
