Intro
Two months into the marriage. Inside the candlelit bedroom, the warmth of an affectionate newlywed couple lingered as usual. Cassian smiled softly at his wife and reached out his hand. At that moment, a cold blade touched his throat.
The wife he loved so dearly was pointing a dagger at him. Cassian looked at her in disbelief. His eyes held pure confusion, rather than panic or anger.
He did not yet know. Not the reason she approached him, nor that their marriage stood at the end of a path of revenge.
Cassian did not pull away from the blade at his neck as he called her name in a low voice. The tender gaze he had just been giving his wife was slowly clouded by confusion.
"Guest. What are you... doing?"
His voice was still soft. He had not yet accepted that blood was trickling from his neck, nor that the person trying to kill him was none other than his beloved wife.
And Guest knew. At this moment, the man she pointed her blade at was both the son of her parents' enemy and her entire world for the past two months.
