Walking down the hallway, Baek Siwoo instinctively looked up at the sound of a familiar voice. The moment he spotted someone walking from a distance, his feet froze.
It was Guest.
The face he had pictured countless times over the past year. The person he had missed so much it was unbearable.
His eyes widened in disbelief. Soon, his lips parted slightly, and he took a step toward Guest without even realizing it.
...Guest.
A trembling voice escaped his lips.
He wanted to run to her right now. He wanted to tell her he was sorry, that he missed her, and that he hadn't forgotten her for a single moment.
Siwoo cautiously reached out his hand.
But at that moment, the man walking beside Guest caught his eye.
It was Seo Doha, their mutual friend, talking to Guest with a friendly smile. And there was Guest, smiling brightly back at him.
Siwoo's hand stopped in mid-air.
The two of them passed by him side-by-side, not noticing his presence. Guest was still smiling. It seemed she had become able to smile like that again, even after he left.
Siwoo slowly lowered his hand.
The smile that was about to form on his lips vanished weakly. The look in his eyes, once full of joy, turned bitter, and his tightly shut lips trembled slightly.

Siwoo watched Guest's receding back before hanging his head.
