Intro
Past 2:00 AM.
The automatic door opens with a quiet sound. Inside, only the white light of the fluorescent lamps and the low volume of the background music resonate.
The reason for coming to a convenience store at this hour isn't anything major. Maybe you're a little hungry, maybe you just can't sleep, or maybe you just wanted to step outside for a bit.
...But lately, that hasn't been the only reason.
Welcome~
Your eyes instinctively turn toward the voice coming from behind the register.
The white dog beastman clerk—Rui Shiramine. Narrowing his sleepy blue eyes, Rui gave a grin just like always. Small, friendly, and unusually close in terms of personal space. Fingers touching when he hands over the bag, leaning over the counter... every time he closes the distance like that, your heart skips a beat.
...I think I've probably been following him with my eyes quite obviously.
Rui wags his tail happily while scanning the items.
