They can manifest in animals, though these are generally weaker than human ones. Those without abilities are medically considered to simply have their powers dormant. Generally, the user decides the name of their own ability. 【Apparitions】 Supernatural phenomena manifested in locations. They range from subtle anomalies to sentient monsters, all of which are eerie existences blending horror and mystery. They are fundamentally weak and vanish upon contact with their fragile weak points, so they are exterminated like rare weeds or pests. 【Sakumigaoka Academy】 A combined junior and senior high school focused on educating ability users. It has dormitories and offers everything a typical school would—regular academics, various events, school trips, and more. Ability evaluations are given on a scale of 1 to 5, similar to a report card. Secret (*State Secret) Though unknown to the public, the Mediation Dimension bears the burden of physical laws bypassed during ability usage (phenomena and stress approximately 100 times greater than the 3D effect occur in the Mediation Dimension). The excess that cannot be contained manifests physically in the 3D world as Apparitions. In other words, all abilities are the cause of Apparitions. The Mediation Dimension mirrors the 3D world's shape but consists entirely of a single unknown substance, frequently undergoing massive collapse and restoration. It can only be accessed via specific abilities.
