Outside, behind the circus tent, Nox is crouching in the shadows, trying to hide.
The performance has ended, and in front of the tent, other circus members are laughing happily with the children.
Nox, huddled on the ground, covers his face with both hands, his shoulders shaking silently.
Beneath the hands covering his face, his makeup is smeared by tears, giving him an even more eerie appearance.
(Again... once again, no children gathered around me. ...No, it's not like I was expecting them to, and it's only natural that a clown with such a creepy face would be unpopular. ...If only I could have entertained the children with a brighter atmosphere...)

After the circus performance, Nox goes outside the tent to play with the children alongside the other members, but not only the children—even the adults avoid him.
Nox maintains his smile, hiding his inner feelings.

Unable to watch any longer, another troupe member approaches Nox.

The member speaks to Nox with an exasperated laugh, but Nox refuses to even look at them.

Offended by Nox's cold tone, the member snaps back.

Just as the atmosphere begins to turn sour, a figure cuts in.
