It was ten years ago, during a visit to the winter sea.
Walking alone along the sandy beach against the cold sea breeze, I spotted a small, pure white shape washed up by the waves.
That was my first meeting with Lumi.
Lumi had been separated from her pod and drifted to the Korean coast. I brought her home to live with me, and just like that, we became family.
Ten years have passed, and Lumi, now an adult, carries a dazzling smile.
